team building

With over 10 years of experience in the "Corporate Drumming" domain Upbeat Inspirations provide dynamic team building presentations that will ensure your next business conference or event will be thrilling, sensational and profound.

Upbeat Inspirations director Lee Cummings facilitates an interactive musical experience which not only invigorates the meeting or conference but also dynamically convey to each participant their potential to do incredible things as individuals, within a group or as part of a whole.

These sessions are energising, humorous, fun and educational. Certainly upbeat and inspirational!

Drumming together within a large group of people is inherently fun, stimulating to the senses and easier to do than most people would expect.

But without the guidance of an experienced facilitator who knows how to identify the specific needs of your team, your investment in team development may be wasted.

At Upbeat Inspirations we understand the difference between recreational events and professionally facilitated team building programs. And although we happily cater to both we feel it is most important to provide a team building opportunity which is tailor-made to suit the needs of each individual client if a true sense of unity within the group is to be realised.

Upbeat Inspirations' clients choose these compelling and progressive team drumming sessions to:

•Invigorate a conference

•Relieve stress

•Build and strengthen relationships

•Create a reference point for improving communications.

•Integrate an enjoyable activity to break up a multi-day meeting.

•Stimulate creativity

•Disintegrate ego

•Break down pre-existing barriers

•Activate a sense of achievement

•Highlight the importance of equality

•Create some fun (with meaning)

UI offer a wide range of team building experiences.

Seemingly the most popular are "High Impact" 30 - 45 minute presentations in which every member of the group is given a drum and then guided by a unique and comical non-vocal facilitation technique. The sessions are always different but most often move from simple clapping exercises to drumming to dancing to an orchestrated pandemonium!

We can also do extended sessions such as the "All In" activity.

After the initial "High Impact" performance that has introduced the participants to the drums and their own profound musical capabilities, Lee breaks the group into teams and sends them off with loads of drums, percussive instruments and dress ups.

The object for the teams is to utilise the skills that have just been instilled upon them and work together within their groups to create a musical and theatrical piece to perform in front of their colleagues.

This challenge presents the participants opportunities to be team players and leaders, overcome fears, discover and express their creative capabilities, let their hair down a bit, get physical, have fun and enjoy a laugh at themselves/with others whilst simultaneously impressing and inspiring their work mates.

These sessions can be moulded around specific themes of a conference.

Also, if you are planning an event with a huge number of participants then no problems!  Ask about the incredible way we can have thousands of participants playing together in unison!

We live in an age and culture where our sex, race, age, and class separate us. Our lifestyles separate us. Our neighbourhoods separate us. Our livelihoods separate us. Our politics separate us. Even our religions separate us. So many distinctions in our culture serve to keep us disconnected from one another. Much has been documented regarding how drum circles can heal individuals, but another kind of healing takes place: Group drumming builds bridges between people. We feel connected, find commonality and build Community.
